Ashley Mann spent three years living full time in a 38-foot, 5th-wheel RV with her husband Josiah and their cat, Kitty. Her favorite thing about RV life is the challenge of finding the perfect way to organize a space, and she loves seeing all the creative and clever ways people come up with to customize their RVs.
Missing the beach? These beach decor ideas for your RV will make you hear the waves no matter where you’re camping!
Here are some simple touches that can make your camper or motorhome feel like seaside cottage.
1. Driftwood decor
This DIY craft project makes a good way to show off beach souvenirs collected during your travels and would look pretty hung in a window where it catches the light.
(If your beach combing adventures haven’t been so lucky, you can also buy driftwood and sea glass fairly inexpensively.)

You can also use driftwood to make a shelf like this one. Museum putty can be used to secure decorative items to the shelf during travel.

2. DIY beach glass bottles
These pretty DIY bottles are made from wine and liquor bottles painted to look like sea glass. If you don’t have much room for displaying decor, why not apply the technique to DIY containers for liquid soap or cooking oil?

3. Hooks
The uses in an RV for this DIY driftwood project are endless.

These sandal hooks would be another cute option.
- DECORATE: Bring a touch of the coast to any room. Make any house or condo a beach house.
These hooks could be used alone or for making a towel rack in your RV bathroom.
- Materials: Medium Density Fiberboard(MDF) + Resin + Metal
4. Fish netting
Fish netting could be draped from the ceiling or used as a window valance.

Fish netting can also be used to make these pretty candle holders. Find out how to make them here.

5. Rope
Rope can be incorporated into nautical or beach decor in multiple ways.
Instructions for making this rope mirror can be found here.
These curtains are made from a painter’s drop cloth and hung on a rope using clip curtain rings are reminiscent of old sails.

6. Porthole
Have a blank wall? A porthole mirror or clock might provide the finishing touch.

7. Beachfront view
A wall decal can give you a beach view no matter where you are.

8. Sea colors
This soap dispenser and toothbrush holder set in watercolor sea colors would make a lovely addition to a beach themed bathroom.
9. Drink coasters
This craft project is another good way to show off beach treasures.

10. Sea colors backsplash
A peel-and-stick backsplash is an easy way to carry a color theme into a kitchen or bathroom.
- Fire and moisture retardant, install in Kitchen and bathroom. Please note: 2 pcs of BeausTile are packed in 1 package.
11. Plank walls
Use peel-and-stick wood planks or shiplap wallpaper, or make a plank wall out of plywood to give a room the feel of a seaside cottage.

Immortalize a map of your favorite beach with this DIY project.

Great ideas!! Love the map letter, driftwood hooks & coasters. I will be trying all 3 of these. I have a small cabin on a lake and these will be perfect for that!
Wonderful!
Love your ideas. I may be biased, but I think all bathrooms should have a beach theme. It’s just so refreshing.
I think you’re right; a beach theme does seem especially fitting for a bathroom! Maybe because of the water?
Love the use of rope! Way more interesting than curtain rods!
And cheaper, too!
Our family room is total beachy decor, love your ideas here. That sandal hook rack would be perfect by our back door for the hot tub towels! Unfortunately, I just tried to order it but it’s out of stock, darn. Will have to check back, it’s so cute.
Oh, that’s too bad! Thanks for letting me know. I will keep an eye on it too and may have to replace it on the list if they don’t restock soon. 🙁
Amazing Ideas! I love the ombre curtains and the wall decal. They bring so much positive energy into the room! I am definitely going to redecorate using some of these ideas!
