On our Renovated RVs for Sale Marketplace, we see tons of beautifully remodeled RVs come on the market every day. But this renovation of a toy hauler trailer doesn’t even look like an RV!

Yes, believe it or not, this stunning tiny home is actually a 2016 Jayco Octane Travel Trailer and it’s currently for sale!

This incredible transformation was par for the course for the pros at Driftless (RV) Renovators. Let’s dive into this manicured transitional space.

From Toy Hauler to Cozy Home

Toy hauler RVs typically have a garage in the back for storing large toys like motorcycles or side-by-sides. For this renovation, Driftless decided to make the garage part of the main living space by combining the kitchen, dining, living, and bedroom all into one versatile room.

Everything in this RV has a dual purpose, down to the two stools creating a makeshift coffee table in the living room. These stools can also be used to step up into the drop-down bed:

Drop-down beds built on an RV bed lift system are often built into toy haulers. The most popular bed lift system in RVs is the HappiJac Power Bed Lift System, which can be expensive as an after-market addition.

For this reno, Driftless kept the original bed tracks and added a couch, stools, and an electric fireplace to create a lounge that easily converts into the master bedroom. You’ll notice the bed drops to about counter height, meaning you can use your kitchen counter as a nightstand to charge devices or keep a small lamp.

Oh, and if you’re wondering what the head clearance is when the bed is up, it’s “6’3″ with a few inches to spare!”

A Table Set for 2

Perfectly hidden away when not in use, this RV features a custom drop leaf table. It may be set for two, but grab a couple more stools and you can comfortably seat a family of four.

You’ll notice that under the table are cubbies for storing personal belongings. When the table is flipped down, items can be safely stored inside without worrying about anything falling out.

Mint Green Cabinets

A splash of color is added to this RV with perfectly painted custom-built cabinets. Even the refrigerator door got a panel of beadboard and a fresh coat of Benjamin Moore paint!

You can see this same green mimicked in the stripes painted across the custom dining table.

Everything in this kitchen is brand new, including the two-burner gas stove, convection microwave, counters, faucet, sink, and window treatments.

A Simple Window Makeover

Giving your windows a makeover is one small way to ditch the factory feel in an RV. The team at Driftless chose patio roller blinds that keep that light and airy feel in this open-air RV.

  • 【Product Dimension】Blind size: 34’’W x 72’’H, fabric size: 32.6’’W x 72’’H, Color: Light Coffee. *Noted:The fabric width is 1.4” narrower than the total blind width (Due to the brackets at the both ends). For inside mount, select shade width should be 0~0.2”smaller than your window width. For outside mount, select shade width should be 2”~ 4”wider than your window width.

Upgraded Bathroom

Just like the kitchen, everything in this RV bathroom has been replaced from a brand new porcelain toilet to the gorgeous shower surround.

Driftless used Palisade tiles from Menards to create the shower surround—which are available in multiple colors and styles.

The bath cabinet was custom-built for the RV and a new sink, faucet, and mirror were added.

Sleeps 5

This 26-foot RV can sleep five with custom-built bunk beds and a charging nook built into the wall.

  1. It’s gorgeous. Is that the ONLY closet by the front door? I’d have put a 2 burner induction cooktop to go with the convect/micro oven.
Everything else is over the top spot on.
    Well done y’all 👏 ✔️ 👍

  2. Hi there!! You did such an amazing renovation looks beautiful!! I have a question about the happijac bed. Did you replace the foundation? We are needing to in ours and I am looking for what people have used to attach to the rails to support the mattress. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
