These are great ideas! I love how the closet doors were removed and replaced with curtains and cube storage ~Xoxo
I like #10. I am glad we don’t have mirrors like that in our trailer bedroom. We do have them on the closets beside the bed over the endtables. I would love to have the storage space but can’t complain because between the living area and our bedroom, across from the roomy bathroom is a wardrobe which we outfitted with inexpensive plastic drawers on one side and use the hanging rod on the other for my clothes (including some dresses).
I sometimes wish I had a closet in my living room! 🙂 I only have a few longer hanging items (dresses) but have several coats that are really too bulky for my wall coat rack.
Love the idea of the decorative film on the mirrored doors. I found two on Amazon that actually have a color design in them – there’s no wall space in the room for art. Worried, tho, that having it on a mirror as opposed to a window might not be “light” enough to show the colors well. Any thoughts?
Both of those are so pretty! I especially love the brown and yellow one (because those are colors I use a lot in my own decor). I think the colors would still show on the mirror, although the darker colors might not be quite as distinct. I certainly think it would be worth a try!
where would I find a wall mural similar to the one pictured in no. 8?
I used to have a link to that exact decal, but it appears it’s no longer available. Here are some you might look at, and if you like the brick look maybe you could put one of the window ones over some brick wallpaper as a background?
I love those ideas for coverings over mirrored closet doors. I want to do some kind of window mural on ours. Is there anything that should be put on the mirrors first prior to installing the mural, to make it stick well?
If you’re using a vinyl sticker type mural, no, just make sure it’s clean!
Thankyou, that sounds easy enough to do! I was also looking at some wallpaper ideas, for a background over the mirror, to make it look like a wall, and then place a wallpaper type window look over that. I know I would have to do my wall[paper paste inbetween the papers, but would I need to put something over the mirror if I were to use the wallpaper first? The stickers sound easy enough to do, but the mirror would still appear. Thankyou for your reply.
I think if you used peel-and-stick wallpaper you could put it directly on the mirror without having to put anything on the glass first. I think too I would look for a peel-and-stick for the second layer as well instead of messing with wallpaper paste – just seems easier and less messy!
