I spoke with you years ago while I was completely remodeling a 30ft 1 slide 5th wheel. I’m done and had this idea on how to not have a living room in your kitchen. It involves a wall on hinges that will blow you away. I will start it by spring. My pet peeve is a dang couch in the kitchen area,
This completely solves that. Separate living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. IN A 30 FOOTER!

We had a 2001 allegro 31 ds. I loved it but hubby not so much so we sold it and bought a new toy hauler pull behind. I was a lil sad cause I wasn’t finished with my vision. We had it for two years and put 11,000 miles on it.
We had just dialed in the packing and fueling ect. But life is waaaay too short to be that unhappy. Those two years were a huge learning curve for us
I kinda know what you mean – we are still in our first RV but I’m wondering how long it’s going to feel like the right one for us. For that reason I’ve put off making major changes – not so much because I’m afraid of affecting resale value (it’s already 10 years old) but because I don’t want to go to all that trouble and then decide to sell it.
we remolded our 5th wheel in a western style. i thought that it was beautiful, but we were surprised that not everyone who came to look at it love the western style. Oh everyone thought we did an awesome job. Anyway long story short, remember the resale factor.
We recently bought a 1997 24 ft Minnie Winnie. I would like to do something different with the over the cab area. I haven’t seen any ideas for this space and wondered if they can be used for other than sleeping spaces?

I have wondered about this as well as I have thought if I ever buy a Class C I would like to put that space to some good use other than just stashing my extra stuff up there. One idea I recall seeing a while back (but can’t remember where) was to turn that space into a reading nook, with shelves for books along the wall (with something across them to hold them in place) and some comfy pillows. If I see any other good ideas I’ll come back here and let you know!

Hi Ashley I have a Montana fifth wheel, I would like to paint my rv am looking for some ideas not sure of the paint I can use since we are in Canada and it’s get really cold here and not sure if wall papers would work for our climate. Thank I would really appreciate any feed back.
Hi Michelle, I’ve definitely heard a lot of people say their wallpaper came down with the drastic climate changes. For painting cabinets, you’ll want to start by sanding the varnish off of any real wood lightly scuffing the fake wood with some very fine grit sandpaper, then clean off the dust and prime using a bonding primer…I’m not sure what paint brands you have in Canada, but I’ve heard several people recommend Sherwin Williams Extreme Bond as well as Glidden Gripper. Once the primer has dried you can paint over it with any interior paint. I would use a foam roller or a sprayer to get a nice finish on your cabinets. For the walls, you can skip the sanding and primer step and use a paint + primer all in one product if your walls have a texture to them, but if the walls are totally smooth I would follow the same process as for the fake wood of the cabinets. Hope that helps!
